 \nMany Head Start families are feeling some anxiety related to potential u
 pcoming changes around immigration and undocumented residents. There are m
 any unknowns as to what changes might take place or what the impact will b
 e for those living in Iowa.\n\nAs a first step to support these families\,
  Iowa Migrant Movement for Justice has developed a basic training that exp
 lains the rights all residents have--regardless of immigration status--and
  provides suggestions that may improve the outcome of any encounter with t
 he Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Iowa MMJ is a statewide immigrants
 ’ rights and immigration legal service organization working to build a m
 ore welcoming and inclusive Iowa.\n\nIHSA is offering a brief one-hour tra
 ining that will expand your knowledge of basic rights and recommended prac
 tices for family service workers\, teachers\, home based workers and other
  staff in Head Start so they can better support families who may worry abo
 ut the future. The training includes recommendations for a family safety p
 lan and information about additional resources available through IMMJ. Joi
